Jennifer Pilz

I began my journey into elder care in 2000 when I got my first job in an acute rehabilitation hospital as a physical therapist. I went on to work in various settings including acute care hospitals, skilled nursing facilities and home care. While doing this work, I quickly realized that there was a greater need well beyond the physical disabilities our patients were suffering from. I could see that these families were struggling with issues that were deeply emotional, psychological and it went beyond the snapshots we saw in the clinic. I knew then that I needed to find a way to better address the needs of these older, vulnerable adults. Once I discovered the field of Geriatric Care Management now known as Aging Life Care Management, I knew I had found the right fit. At Riverside Care Advisors, we offer an array of services that address the complex needs of the clients that we serve. Our mission is to make this incredibly challenging time for families, more manageable and more meaningful. We strive to give our clients all the information, advice and care they need to make the very challenging decisions they have to make for their older family members. Qualifications: - Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy, Simmons College - Graduate Certificate in Geriatric Care Management, University of Florida - Advanced Professional of the Aging Life Care Association, member since 2012. - Certified Care Manager since 2014
